Where to Travel This Fall

Taking advantage of beautiful fall foliage, cooler temperatures, and off-peak travel season for better rates just got easier. We’ve narrowed down some of the best fall travel destinations, as well as our recommendations of where to stay.

1. Costa Rica

There’s so much to see and do amongst the luscious jungle in Costa Rica. Although traveling to Costa Rica in the fall when rainfall is the highest seems like a mistake, there are several advantages to traveling during this time of year. Tourism isn’t as high during this time, meaning accommodations prices lower significantly. Nothing beats a stay at the stunning Four Seasons Resort at Peninsula Papagayo.

If you’re not set on a specific city in Costa Rica and don’t like the rain, we recommend you visit Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, which enjoys its driest months in September and October. Although there is a limited number of chain hotels in the Caribbean coast, there are plenty of fun boutique hotels and lodging.
